Olympic Medal Count Using Excel

1. Launch the website for the Summer Games:
http://www.athens2004.com/

2. Select Medals   

3.  You will find total for gold, silver, and bronze medals for each country.

4. Open Excel.

5. Put the type of medal in cells A1, B1, C1, and D1:

6. Put the number of medals in cells A1, B2, C2, and D2.

7. Highlight the cells:

8. Click on the Chart Wizard in the toolbar:

9. Choose a Bar Graph (I know Microsoft calls it a column    graph), but we will use the term BAR GRAPH .

Double check that your data will graph.

11.  Choose NEXT . Do NOT change anything in the Data Range .
Choose Next again.

12.  Give each axis an appropriate label and title the graph:

13.  Choose Finish , and print the graph.
